We are on the search for a skilled Defence-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This role involves supporting business development and product teams by conducting data analysis, integrating third-party data, and utilizing pre-built models to deliver insights to defence customers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Earth Observation (EO) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with experience in military intelligence imaging (IMINT).

Data Analyst (Defence)
Position: Full time
Location: Vaisalantie 2-8, Espoo, Finland (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and imagery interpretation
Perform manual ad hoc data analysis to support business development and product delivery for defence customers.
Analyze and interpret various types of imagery and data, including visual inspection to extract actionable insights.
Integrate various external data sources for more impactful analysis and better results.
2. Business and product support
Provide basic analytical support to business development and product teams on defense-related matters.
Maintain awareness of global events, geopolitical trends and defense stakeholders needs to identify high-priority targets and generate impactful insights addressing key stakeholders needs.
Assess the feasibility of business ideas and suggest solutions in alignment with customer needs and industry trends.
Collaborate with the data analytics team to implement and utilize pre-built models in customer solutions.
3. Customer support
Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries, delivering insightful and data-driven solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Defence EO Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong background in EO/GIS.
Proficiency in military intelligence imaging (IMINT) analysis and interpretation.
Basic proficiency in Python for conducting data analysis tasks.
Fluency in both Finnish and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Competence in integrating and assessing third-party data for defence analysis.
Experience in supporting business development and product functions within a defence context.
Extensive knowledge of global geography, current events, and geopolitics.
Ability to make quick decisions, prioritize and work sustainably in a busy environment

Ideal Traits:
Experience with Hyperspectral, SAR, and/or AIS data.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.

Finnish national or NATO clearance
