Janne Kuhno

I co-founded Kuva Space with Tuomas in 2016 while I was studying at Aalto University. These days, I do a bit of everything, but my main job as Lead Engineer is to ensure our satellites are built while keeping budgets and schedules on track. I also lead our satellite design team and work closely with our camera, production, and software teams.

The best thing about working at Kuva Space is that the work actually matters. We get to build things with real impact, not just do work for its own sake. It’s also important to me that work is fun, and here we have a great atmosphere, good energy, and a team that enjoys what we do.

Outside of work, I’m usually working on hobby projects and all kinds of technical tinkering. I have built an electric bike from an unused power drill, made my own drones, and am currently converting a motorcycle to electric.
