Grant Aivazian

I work as a Payload Engineer on the camera side at Kuva Space. My job is to design the cameras and plan their build, while also ensuring they meet our data team's needs. One of the things that drew me in was the chance to help drive the design forward and leave my mark on something that actually goes to space.

The best thing about working here is definitely the people. We have a great team, and I really enjoy solving problems together, celebrating the wins, and working through the challenges as a group. It’s a fun environment, and that makes a big difference in everyday work.

Outside of work, I love spending time in nature and exploring forests, especially when it’s mushroom season. I’ve even organized mushroom-picking trips with colleagues. I keep it simple and only pick three types of mushrooms, and my favorite way to enjoy them is in a funnel chanterelle pie.
