Jussi Mäkynen

I’m Head of Camera Technology at Kuva Space. My work focuses on camera development, particularly optical filters for spectral measurements. I also develop manufacturing and testing methods, and I lead our optics team.

What I value most here is the people; we have a truly great team, and it is a pleasure to work with them every day. It is also meaningful to be part of something important: helping map the state of our planet. Spectral imaging is a powerful method for that.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children. Keeping busy with them is both fun and a great way to balance work and free time.
