David Paredes

I’m a Physicist Engineer in Kuva Space’s Data & Analytics team. My mission is to help our products and services generalize well, because the data we collect is only a very small fraction of the world. I work with physical modeling and other methods to make better use of that data and improve its performance in real-world situations. My work sits between the pipeline and analytics teams, supporting both with a mix of physics, mathematics, Python, and sometimes just pen and paper.

One of the things I appreciate most here is the people. Everyone is welcoming and easy to work with, yet highly professional, responsible, and very smart. There’s also a strong sense of ownership and trust, which creates a great environment for doing meaningful work.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, going hiking, and staying active through sports. My own favorites include judo and long-distance running.
