Janne Pomell

I am a Mechanical Engineer in the Satellite team. In practice it means that I turn ideas to something tangible. Someone´s crazy new idea will be transformed to technical representation and then manufactured in our own laboratory or through supplier network. Work is often intermediate negotiation between different requirements and capabilities and finding a common ground. I support the communication with different kind of visualizations, CAD models and mockups like 3D prints.

Best thing about working here is to work with bright people and learn new things. I love to challenge my own ideas and prejudices. It is nice to see the whole process when the initial idea evolves to something completely new and unforeseen.

Outside of working hours I spend time with my two daughters, play badminton and floorball. On a good weather you might spot me biking around great Helsinki area or reading a book at the seaside.
