Arthur Vandenhoeke

I’m the Head of AI Development at Kuva Space. My role is to shape how the different pieces come together, from data and algorithms to methodologies and the overall architecture behind our services. I was also involved in the early stages of Kuva’s processing chain development, helping build the path from raw satellite data to AI-driven services. Today, a big part of my work is steering the team in the right direction and making sure our algorithms are tuned to deliver meaningful results.

What I enjoy most about working here is the combination of so many different disciplines. For an engineer, it’s a dream environment. We get to work at the intersection of orbital dynamics, Earth sciences, optics, atmospheric sciences, and more. It’s a very rich and scientifically demanding setting, and that’s what makes it so exciting. I’m not just focused on one small subprocess, but get to work across many topics and with many different teams, which makes the complexity of the work especially rewarding.

Outside of work, sports are a big part of my life. I enjoy working out, cycling, and running, and I take endurance sports quite seriously. I also love chess.
