Embedded Systems Engineer
Position: Full time
Location: Otakaari 5, Espoo, Finland
Your Mission:
As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will be at the helm of designing and developing spacecraft electronic subsystems, ensuring our missions reach new horizons. This position intertwines hardware and software, requiring you to collaborate closely with a stellar engineering team to meet the rigorous demands of space. You will integrate your expertise in electronics and software, working closely with a world-class engineering team to meet the stringent demands of space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovate & Develop: Design, prototype, and debug electronics and software for spacecraft subsystems and ground support equipment.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure seamless integration with mechanical, thermal, and space environment specifications.
- Optimize: Ensure electronic designs are manufacturable and adhere to version control protocols.
- Document: Maintain comprehensive and clear software design documentation for ease of future maintenance and updates.
Stellar Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in electronics hardware and software development, with a knack for troubleshooting and fixing designs.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in C and Python. Prior exposure to RISC, ARM RTOS microcontrollers and experience in interfacing with SoCs running ARM-based Linux is preferred.
- Core Knowledge: Solid understanding of electronics circuit design, layout, and circuit theory principles.
- Organizational Prowess: Exceptional skills in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Quick Decision Maker: Ability to make quick decisions and sustain performance in a busy environment.
- Multitasker: Affinity for multitasking while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Independent Learner: Quick-learner who is self-motivated and thrives on taking initiative.
- Team Dynamics: Strong communication (English) and teamwork skills essential for success in our collaborative environment.
